Publishing Progress

I’ve been really tired at work these past couple of days. Hungover, but not in the alcoholic sense, probably sums it up. The first night after the Madness gig my head was still buzzing with memories and adrenalin from the whole thing, then as Tuesday moved into Wednesday it transferred into exhaustion. I think I’m over it now—it’s just work that’s tiring me out with three overnight callouts in the last two nights.
Progress has been pretty decent (for me, considering) recently. I’ve got enough material for a volume 2 of SILLY POEMS FOR WEE PEOPLE, so I’ve begun work editing the poems and preparing the manuscript. I’ve also got on ISBN assigned to it now, so things are moving. Tentative release will be late spring I think.
The late-running release of the Ranfurly Review is moving quickly. I’ve almost got the magazine finished now so hope to have it out by the end of this week. It has a fabulous feature with an award winning poet in it so stay tuned.
We had out Christmas lunch in the work canteen yesterday: full three course turkey dinner with all the trimmings. I was absolutely stuffed, so when I had to go to the dentist late in the afternoon to get a jag, it just about knocked me out and I had to lie down to wait for it to wear off!
Tonight is set aside for another infamous pizza/DVD night with my daughter. We’re planning on watching The Polar Express, one of our favourite Chrimbo films. Can’t wait for that.
If you missed the pictures of my famous appearance on the big screen behind the stage at the recent Madness gigs, here’s a video of it. Skip forward to 3 mins 22 secs and you can’t miss me!
