All Bran: It Gets Things Moving

All Bran - Gets Things MovingStomach still sore, but it didn’t feel like it had gotten worse during the night. Maybe it has peaked. Hope so. Did feel a touch constipated though. What’s going on down there? Nothing that a pipe cleaner and a tube of KY Jelly can’t sort out, I’m sure.

I braved the pain and made my way to work through the fog and drizzle. The end-of-week tiredness is beginning to hit home, but not as much today as with previous weeks; probably due to last night’s early retirement.

I’ll soon be in a position to announce a very important project that I have been working on. It’s ‘dead exciting, big man’.

Shortly before lunch I made progress with my stomach pains. I released a stool. Not just any stool, but one so massive in both girth and length, that I nearly had to call for help. The release was almost immediate, although still sore, there was a definite release of pressure. Hopefully, there’ll be more of that to come because my gut was still aching.

I bought a box of All-Bran on the way home and ate two bowls when I got in. Got to pull out all the stops in the Great War of Constipation!

Worked through a lot of email today – still have a backlog to catch up on, though. It’s never-ending. I prepared my monthly newsletter, The Patter, for going out next week – either the 2nd or 3rd of July because I’ll be away next weekend.

Also finalised my Scotland’s Treasure column for the summer issue of The Scruffy Dog Review, which is looking good. Plus I put together the second round of questions for Renee Russell, who I am interviewing over e-mail for the autumn issue of the same e-zine.

Worked some more on the website work I have to complete this week for a customer later in the evening.

By bedtime, the All-Bran had failed to take any serious effect other than a few flaccid episodes of flatulence. Now I know there is a blockage. On any normal day I would have shat myself by now.

  1. Oh my god! You are a riot! I hope you get to the bottom of it soon . . . I hope everything comes out okay . . . oh, I’d better stop now. HAHAHAHA! Seriously, this is the most severe case of “writers block” I’ve ever heard of . . . Oops! Did it again. Anyhow, feel better soon!
